Yong Yan(1981), Ph.D., is a member of the Communist Party of China. In July 2004, he graduated from Jilin University with a bachelor's degree in material forming and control engineering. In July 2009, he graduated from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, majoring in mechanical manufacturing and automation. He is engaged in the research of overall design of space science instruments/loads, the development of optical system devices, and the integrated simulation of optical, mechanical and thermal systems of space loads. He has undertaken and participated in nearly a dozen projects such as 863 and 973, national key research and development plans, national natural science foundation, and major national defense pre-research projects. He cooperated with other researchers to publish more than 30 academic papers and applied for and authorized 7 invention patents. In 2009, he won the scholarship of outstanding doctoral students from pollyanna chu, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2017 (ranked fourth).
